Jeanna Knoble, MD, a Board-certified medical oncologist at Zangmeister Cancer Center, shared her enthusiasm about this eavor: Accessible and locally-based cancer clinics are fundamental in addressing the challenges faced by cancer patients seeking care. The launch of our CPAN Chapter will facilitate important conversations on community oncology practices' contributions to healthcare policies that impact local clinics.

Dr. Stephen Fred Divers, AON's Chief Medical Officer, echoed similar sentiments highlighting the significance of advocating for community oncology through such initiatives: By supporting and launching CPAN Chapters like this one at Zangmeister Cancer Center, we are strengthening our stance as a key player in shaping healthcare policy discussions that influence patient care.

The Community Oncology Alliance COA’s CPAN website states that it's an organization dedicated to rsing awareness about indepent community-based cancer care centers and the impact of national healthcare policies on these institutions. By fostering this local-level dialogue, Zangmeister Cancer Center’s chapter will further amplify its voice as part of a national advocacy network.

Zager Dana, a MA ATR-BC MSW, LISW-S, OSW-C certified oncology social worker at the practice, shares her commitment towards bridging the gap between local and national initiatives: I am honored to lead this initiative for our CPAN chapter. Collaborating with COA will enable us to amplify our collective impact on community oncology practices and patients.
