Title: Decoding the Epigenetic Landscape: Elucidating Cancer Pathology and Identifying Novel Therapeutic Targets
Overview:
Epigenetic modifications encompass a spectrum of mechanisms that influence gene expression without altering DNA sequences. These include, but are not limited to, DNA methylation, histone modifications, variations in DNA replication timing, nucleosome positioning, changes in heterochromatin states, and the modulation of chromatin structure. Such epigenetic alterations play pivotal roles in cancer development by affecting cellular processes such as cell cycle regulation, apoptosis, and genomic stability.
